We’re Putting the Pedal to the Metal

Since our launch we have really been pedal to the metal. For those of you following at home (and on our socials) you’ll know that we have been accepted in to an Accelerator Program.

“What’s an Accelerator Program?” I hear you ask.

An Accelerator Progam is where up and coming and “diamond in the rough” businesses get selected to participate in a program to help them grow and launch their business. Launch Pad is an exclusive Accelerator run by Western Sydney University. Let’s just say the call to let us know we’d been accepted was one of the most exciting and validating calls we’ve received to date. There were over 500 applications and we were one of only 20 that were accepted! I know, crazy right?! Aaron had the opportunity to meet with Karen Andrews, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology and Melissa, Federal Member for Lindsay. Both were at LaunchPad’s Werrington Campus to kick off the program and announce the funding from the Morrison Government. He was also able to steal a little bit of a photo opp. Check it out here Launch Pad is targeted towards businesses in the Tech, Construction and Property Sectors. We are amongst some incredible Businesses and Founders whom you may see us partnering, working with or even featuring as the program goes on. Whilst many of them are still in the early stages of design, we can’t wait to see their products and services develop and grow. Some of the businesses are in the fields Artificial Intelligence, Proptech, Medtech and even Virtual Reality. We’d love to let you know who they all are now, but we have to keep something a surprise. We are assisted on our startup journey by some amazing mentors: Jamie Pride and Jonathon Wolfe. Jamie is an author, serial entrepreneur and a previous CEO of realestate.com.au. Jonathon is also a Serial Entrepreneur with extensive experience in assisting startups from their early stages and right through to them going global. He is skilled in strategy and innovation. We’re only our second week in and are looking forward to the next 6 months. We can’t wait to see the new heights that MyTradie will grow to and to also watch the other Founders on their journeys grow too.
